Sally Salveson
Certified Public Accountant
Malta
Sally was born and raised in Malta, MT, graduating from Malta High School in 2002. She continued her education at Montana State University-Bozeman and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in business in 2005 and Master of Professional Accountancy degree in 2006. Sally spent two years working for JCCS, PC as a staff accountant in Bozeman and earned her CPA license in 2008. Sally moved back to Malta in 2008 and joined Galusha Higgins & Galusha, PC, later merging with Wipfli, LLP, where she worked as a tax manager. In 2021, Sally aligned with Britney Tempel and Shardae Hankinson to form Montana Roots Accounting, PLLC. Throughout her career, Sally has continually focused on serving and building relationships with her rural based individual, business, and agricultural clients. Sally serves on various local boards including Phillips County Cattlewomen, RCAN, and Phillips County Community Foundation. Sally and her husband Ken have three children and ranch west of Malta. In their spare time they enjoy activities on the ranch and spending time at Fort Peck Lake.
Shardae Hankinson
Certified Public Accountant

Shardae has been a CPA for over 12 years, honing her skills preparing income taxes for small businesses and agriculturally based businesses. Shardae has a Bachelor of Science degree in business and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree, both from Montana State University -Bozeman. Shardae’s past work experience includes working two years for Eide Bailly in Billings, MT where she provided tax services to individuals, trusts, and oil and gas businesses. In 2012 Shardae moved back home and spent the next eight years working with hi-line businesses and individuals with Wipfli in Havre, MT. In late 2019, Shardae ventured out and started her own accounting business H4 Accounting before merging into Montana Roots Accounting in late 2021. Shardae has two children, a son in second grade and a son in kindergarten. When she’s not in the office, Shardae spends as much time as she can soaking up the sun by camping and boating with her family. When summer fun comes to an end, she enjoys watching her kids play soccer, hockey, and baseball or reading a good book by the fire.
Britney Tempel
Certified Public Accountant
Joplin
Britney has been a CPA for 13 years, predominantly focused on income taxes, planning and consulting for Agriculturally based businesses. Britney has a Bachelor of Science degree in business and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree, both from Montana State University-Bozeman. After graduating from MSU, Britney worked for a firm in Sun Valley, ID where she provided audit & tax services to high-net-worth individuals and two years with a firm in Bozeman working for primary large business clients. In 2012, Britney moved to Joplin, Montana to pursue a career focused on agriculture and small business accounting and during those years, was a tax manager for Wipfli, LLP. Britney and two business partners started Montana Roots Accounting, PLLC in 2021. Britney has served as the treasurer for the Liberty Medical Center board since she joined the board and chairs the finance committee. She also serves on the board for the Golden Triangle Center, a community rec center in Joplin, and the Joplin Memorial Park board. Most recently, she accepted an opportunity to teach business classes at the high school in Chester. Britney has two children, a daughter who is in third grade and a son starting Kindergarten. Outside of her work roles, Britney spends as much time outside as possible. She enjoys running, hiking, time at the lake or river, operating farm equipment for friends and family and just about any new adventure with her kids.
